Assessment Process

The Suffolk Foundation seeks to make it as easy as possible for community and voluntary groups to apply for funding. We seek to support genuinely good ideas that will make a real difference to the lives of local people.

The application process is very simple, but we recommend that you read our grant policy guidelines fully before making an application.

The Foundation’s grants committee will meet quarterly to make grant awards from the Foundation’s core endowment known as the Local Giving Fund. The Foundation is able to receive grant applications throughout the year, however applications received less than four weeks before a Grant Awards Meeting will be delayed and presented to the following Awards meeting, to allow a full assessment of your application to take place.

If you are applying for a grant for the first time, or if you would like advice before making an application, please contact us.
